STEVE GROURKE is Senior Vice President of Advancement and Alumni Relations at The American College of Financial Services and has spent the last two decades working to advance the missions of leading non-profit organizations. Grourke and his team engage and support The American College Alumni and Friends Community and collaborate with The College’s Centers of Excellence to build relationships with and generate philanthropic investments from funding partners.
Prior to joining The College, Grourke served as Executive Director of the Office of Gift and Estate Planning at Villanova University. He was part of the senior team that led Villanova to secure $760 million during the University’s largest comprehensive campaign and grow the alumni giving rate to 30%. He personally assisted individuals and families who committed over $60 million in philanthropic revenue during the campaign.
Grourke spent over a decade at The Nature Conservancy, the world’s leading conservation organization, where he served in a variety of geographies and capacities, including Associate Director of Philanthropy in Idaho and Director of Philanthropy Operations in Pennsylvania. He is also a past Chairman and current member of the Board of Advisors of the Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA, and a former member and past Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Planned Giving Council of Greater Philadelphia.
Grourke earned a BA in history at Gwynedd Mercy University and an MPA from Eastern Washington University. He holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designation from The American College of Financial Services, and is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).
